GCHS Student Bursary Awards

Each year GCHS awards the Goldie Connell bursary to students who excel at history studies. For 2026 it's a tie. Dezaree Harper and Keara Hall of South Grenville District High School were given awards by GCHS President David Graham. The award is named after a long time history teacher, Goldie A. Connell. Goldie is the author of Augusta, Royal Township 7, (pub. 1985) Society member and aunt to Bonnie Gaylord, 50 year member of the GCHS. Congratulations Dezaree and Keara!
