For those who like a cold one with their history lessons, the Spencerville Mill is hosting what's shaping up as a great event this Thursday, August 22, at 6:30 p.m.
It's Hops & History, a look back at the local brewing industry mostly centered in Prescott, including the launch pad for Labatt's.
Organizers will have beer available from Windmill Brewery and popcorn from Spencerville Home Hardware.
There's no admission fee but those planning to attend are asked to RVSP at 613-658-5885. "Don't miss out on this chance to sip, savour and learn."
